...and yes, I realize that qualifies me as kind of a loser but...
It's not really even "baskets"... It's just that as I was putting together this baby bag for a church fundraiser, I realized that I can't remember the last time I actually just wrapped something like a normal person. I also realized that I hate buying gift bags when I could package my gift in a cute reusable container that I can personalize & add extra details. Mmm... I love details.
Anyway... it was then I decided that gift baskets/bags/whatever-you'd-like-to-call-them are sort of my "thing".
And I'm ok with it, because I think my way is cuter :-)
Just thought I'd show you this cute little "basket" that my mom & I filled. My mom sells 31 bags & donated this tote that a lot of moms use for diaper bags! I couldn't believe how much we stuffed in here.
I made these burp rags & baby washcloths to stuff in the outside pockets. I was planning to do gender neutral, but when I found this adorable print at Joann I was in love! I am definitely going back for more for Colson.
I have made both of these things for myself & LOVE them... especially the contoured burp rags. They are chenille on one side & flannel on the other. They are so absorbent! The washcloths are just terrycloth & flannel.
LOVE. These & cloth diapers are my favorite burp rags. The burp rags you buy in the stores honestly just... suck. They get wet and just smear all over. Not these. And that bike print? Finally someone made some cute boy prints!
and gray... where was the gray when I was pregnant?
If you're thinking of getting one of these bags for a gift, a pack of diapers fits perfectly in the bottom!
and no this is not an advertisement... I'm just sayin'!
I also made this taggie blanket to add in. Colson has one that's almost identical {just a bit bigger} and it's his favorite thing to chew on!
And of course you have to have a cute tie onesie!
We added a few toys on the inside, plus a bib & wipes. Unfortunately, my picture was blurry & I was in a hurry so I didn't notice until after I'd already dropped off the bag.
Hopefully there will be a grandma-to-be with a little baby boy to buy for because I know that I would have LOVED this gift when I was pregnant.
And if you are like me and hate to put your gifts in a boring old bag... here are a few other gifts I've given!
I don't take pictures of all of the little ones, but I stock up on those little tins & baskets from the target dollar section... they make perfect little "mini" gift holders!
