Thank you so much for all of your sweet comments about our wedding pictures. I truly can't stop staring at them.... it is a great means for procrastination!
But back to getting something done!! Today I decided I would make a dry erase menu board. I usually write out my menu for the week on the back of a recipe card and yes, I know that is wasteful. So I finally got around to changing!
Plus, if I don't have all my meals written down & visible, I totally forget what I was going to make!
I started with this Target frame that was on clearance, scrapbook paper, and a cut out of the word "MENU" from my silhouette.
I made an extra, which is going in my next giveaway bundle. I'm thinking once I hit 400 followers? Not too far to go!
I cut out the scrapbook paper to fit the frame.
I matted the paper & put on the vinyl {yep, i've given in to using transfer paper. who knew it was so great?!}
I liked it, but I thought it needed the days of the week so I added the initials to each day.
And done! Pretty simple, huh? There are about a bazillion of these out there in blog-land. I'm glad to finally be a part of the cool club.
It found it's new home. I might hang it later, but for now I like it standing at the edge of the bar. The white doesn't pop too much in these pictures because I don't know how to use my camera... and there is an awful glare! But it really does pop in real life! One day I will learn and my pictures won't be so crummy.
I really need to make us one of these! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteVery cool!! Are you using your flash in the pictures? Turning that off could help with the white showing better. :)
